Front Page of New Yorker

I am so sick of everyone trying to sabotage Barack Obama's campaign, last week Jesse Jackson now this. It is so disgusting that in today's society with our multi culture, racism is still so prevalent. For the New Yorker to print such a derogatory drawing is an outrage and truly shows their thoughts and beliefs. I can't believe that this so called "magazine" would put something this distasteful in it (especially not on the cover). The magazine uses the excuse that it's just satire, but I'm sorry it's not funny nor amusing--- it's just WRONG and shows their prejudice! I guess at least we know where they stand; rather than them being undercover racists, they're open with it. I would rather know someone is a racist bigot than for them to hide it.

The Market

Everyone knows about the Real Estate market and how things are not the greatest. With that being said, I just want to inform you that Real Estate is still being bought and sold just not to the degree it was a few years ago. I actually have two clients who are looking for properties now; one is looking for a condo and one who's looking for a multi unit building, so moves are still being made you just need to have the credit and a down payment then you're good. What people need to understand about Real Estate is that it is cyclical in nature; meaning it may have years where it is booming and then drops off for years; this is a well known cycle. Hopefully the market will pick up and boom again soon.

For those who are looking to buy or sell property and need an agent to represent you, contact me at tmmrealty@yahoo.com

Stress Relief

In today's world with our economy and all, we all need to learn how to stress less. I am using these and starting to feel less tension in my shoulders and neck, these are my stress areas. Below are some helpful ways:

1. Listen to music. According to research, music help the brain produce more serotonin. Who knows, you may feel stressed-less enough to dance and enjoy :-)

2. Exercise. This is a double dose-Not only will the 30mins every other day (daily is better) relieve stress, it will also help shed some of those pounds.

3. Soaking in Epson salt. This is one of those old grandma remedies, but works wonders. The salt absorbs into the skin to increase magnesium and sulfates within the body. This helps to reduce stress, flush toxins, and improve circulation (love it!).

4. Meditate. For 1-3 mins close your eyes and take several deep breaths.

5. Eat foods rich in vitamin B6. B6 increases the brain's serotonin. Bananas and tuna are a couple foods that are rich B6, among others.

Hancock- Thumbs up!

This was a great movie with a good plot, Will Smith delivered as usual. I was a little hesitant to see this movie because it received many bad reviews, but once again I'm glad I didn't pay the 1-star reviews any attention (they're usually wrong anyway). One critic of The Chicago Tribune wrote that it "can offer only an A-list headliner in a D-list project." I'm glad Will and the audiences proved all the critics wrong.

You go Will Smith, for delivering 5 successful July 4th weekend movies!!!

Great Book! - Rules of the Red Rubber Ball

I recently read a very inspiring book titled, "Rules of the Red Rubber Ball" by Kevin Carroll. This book was about how we all must find our passion in life and learning how to apply that passion to our careers, whether an entrepreneur or working a 9-5 for someone else. It's important to have a career that you're passionate about. Ultimately, the book is uplifting and definitely help me put some things into perspective and it's very creatively written. If you get a chance to read it, let me know your thoughts.
